Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Flex Pool Day Shift in Hawaii, requiring a HI RN license and Med/Surg and Step Down experience.

• Position involves floating between various medical and surgical units, including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular units
• Day shift with 12-hour shifts from 0645 to 1915, scheduled for 36 hours per week after orientation
• Meditech EMR is used along with pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Nurse to patient ratios:
  Medical unit 1:6 (days/eves), 1:8 (nights);
  Laulima 1:6;
  Cardiovascular 1:4; ratios may vary
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Flex Pool RNs will float as needed between designated hospital units according to patient care needs
• Orientation will be provided for each unit prior to independent assignment
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours before starting the assignment
• Proof of immunity is required; medical or religious exemption requests are not accepted
• Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs required

• Active HI RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Med/Surg and Step Down nursing required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
