American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Transitional Care Unit Med/Surg position in Hawaii requiring a HI RN license and flexibility with variable shifts.

• Work in a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) with adult Med/Surg patients
• 32-bed unit with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:8 and 1:6 aides during the day
• May float to Med Surg and Surgical Peds units as needed
• Utilizes Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, tube feeding, NG/G-Tubes, trach care, and PICC/PORT equipment
• Variable shifts and days are required, with a schedule of 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of specific shift preferences
• Department‑specific orientation is provided for each unit
• Must be able to work flexible schedules and shift lengths as assigned
• Professional nursing attire is required
• Be in Hawaii the Thursday before your start date to attend Employee Health clearance on Friday
• May be required to float to additional units based on staffing needs

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved exception required prior to start
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours before assignment begins
