Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role involves float assignments across various medical and surgical units, requiring adaptability and clinical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, and document clinical observations using Meditech EMR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, addressing concerns and providing education as needed.
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, including wound vac management and chest tube care.
- Assist in procedure preparation and execute clinical tasks accurately across different units.
- Adhere to professional dress code, ensuring all scrubs are clean and compliant.
- Hold an active Hawaii Nursing License at the start of assignment; applications from out-of-state candidates require licensing upon acceptance.
- Possess 2-10 years of nursing experience in a comparable setting.
- Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred; PALS, TNCC, ENPC are a plus.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR, pyxis medication system, and wound care equipment.
- Flexibility to float to Medical, Laulima, and rare Cardiovascular units.
- Develop versatile clinical skills working across multiple specialized units.
