Job Summary:

The Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse (CVU RN) is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions in a progressive care unit. They monitor patients, administer medications, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and provide education to patients and their families.

• Assessing patients' cardiac status and identifying any abnormalities or changes
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop care plans
• Educating patients and their families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures
• Performing various technical procedures such as cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and wound care
• Responding to emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac care setting
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology
