Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool provides skilled nursing care across multiple medical and surgical units including Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse will float between units as needed, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment during 12-hour night shifts.

• Active Registered Nurse license for the State of Hawaii before assignment start.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably 2-10 years.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

• ACLS certification.
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC certifications preferred.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and hospital equipment such as Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.

• Must have documented proof of immunity; medical and religious exemptions are not accepted.
• Floating between Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Professional nursing attire in clean scrubs required.
• Orientation provided for each unit.

• 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Scheduled for approximately 36 hours per week following orientation.
• No guarantee of hours; shift assignments based on unit needs.
