Job Description:
This position involves working in a 34-bed adult surgical unit, requiring standard RPN III duties and skills. The RN will be responsible for surgical pre/postoperative care and must be familiar with equipment such as vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps, WOWS/EMR charting, and Pyxis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general RN duties in a surgical unit with a nurse to patient ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients
- Administer pre/postoperative care for abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains
- Float to other units as needed
Requirements:
- Must possess an active State of HI license or apply for one upon acceptance of the offer
- Minimum 2 years of experience with strong pre/postoperative nursing skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
