Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 05/04/2026 for a 15-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,815–$1,922 per week. Shift: Days. Setting: inpatient medical‑surgical unit with potential to float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units.

Inpatient medical‑surgical unit; may float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units
- Provide Med/Surg level nursing care for adults 18 and older, including assessments, care planning, and execution of patient‑centered interventions
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and document in Meditech EMR; collaborate with the care team to update plans of care
- Manage wound care, wound vac, chest tubes, and other equipment; ensure proper use of Pyxis and related supply systems
- Support patient safety, infection control, and appropriate escalation of changes in condition; educate patients and families as needed
- May float to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units as assigned; adapt to varying shift lengths and days
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to unit standards, including a 1:5 nurse‑to‑patient ratio where applicable
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date (if not currently licensed, must apply upon acceptance)
- BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or higher‑level care experience
- Education:
RN credential from an approved nursing program - Ability to work 36 hours per week after orientation and to accommodate varying shift lengths and days
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements
