TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently administering a variety of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and injections (chemo, hormonal, and non‑chemo/hormonal) in accordance with the provider’s order. This includes accessing port‑a‑caths, PICC’s, and Hickman catheters, performing venipuncture and dressings for PICC and Hickman lines, taking labs via ports, and performing appropriate clinical care of all patients assigned. The RN maintains accurate, concise, and complete records on the patient’s condition, treatment, medications, and responses to treatment, and monitors and maintains accurate records of all intravenous therapies.
The RN notifies the Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner of unusual occurrences and initiates appropriate emergency action when necessary, and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding medications and treatments, expected responses and side effects, disease process, nutrition, activity, and physical adjustments related to the disease process or treatment.
