Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital leadership role in delivering safe, compassionate, and resident‑centered care while overseeing the daily clinical operations of the nursing unit. This position ensures high‑quality outcomes through comprehensive assessment, care planning, clinical decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and the supervision and development of nursing staff, helping create a safe and supportive environment for residents, families, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess residents' clinical needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes using the nursing process.
  • Deliver skilled nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and respond promptly to changes in resident condition.
  • Supervise, coach, schedule, and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other nursing personnel to ensure quality resident care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with federal, state, facility, and infection prevention standards.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life while fostering a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented work environment.
Education, Experience & Certifications
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Recent clinical experience or specialized education in geriatrics or long‑term care preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal long‑term care regulations, infection prevention practices, medication administration, and resident rights.
  • Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively supervise and develop staff.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn electronic health record (EHR) and company software systems.
  • Ability to meet all pre‑employment and ongoing health requirements, including drug screening, criminal background check, and continuing education requirements.

Shift Details

Must be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations. Services are provided 24/7.
