Registered Nurse – Flex Pool (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Hilo, HI

Contract | Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

• Float between multiple medical and surgical units including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios (ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment)
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing system, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Adhere to unit-specific orientation and training programs upon assignment to each department
• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) in compliance with facility dress code

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required prior to start of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation, TNCC, or ENPC certification
• Prior experience floating across medical, surgical, or cardiovascular nursing units

• Gain diverse clinical experience by rotating across medical, surgical acute, and cardiovascular units within a single assignment
• Unit-specific orientation is provided to support a smooth transition into each department
