Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Hilo, HI

Contract | Nights | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours per Week

• Provide direct patient care on a 77-bed Medical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8 on nights
• Operate and monitor equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Adhere to professional nursing attire standards and facility dress code requirements
• Complete unit-specific orientation and training program prior to independent assignment
• Float to other units as needed, including Cardiovascular and Laulima units
• Work various shift lengths and days as required; must maintain scheduling flexibility

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start

• Experience with Meditech EMR systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with chest tube and wound vac management

• Gain valuable experience in a Medical Surgical environment with structured unit-specific orientation and training
