Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Opportunity

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a Cardiac Stepdown unit. The nurse will deliver direct patient care, monitor cardiac status, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor telemetry readings and interpret cardiac strips.
• Administer medications using Meditech charting and Pyxis systems.
• Perform primary nursing duties including fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Maintain equipment such as BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitors.
• Float to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER departments.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Hawaii RN license prior to starting the assignment.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience.
• Have experience in Progressive Care and telemetry preferred.
• Be able to work scheduled 36-hour weeks following orientation.
• Acknowledge the requirement to float across in-house acute units.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred; NIHSS certification preferred.
