IMC/PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse
The IMC/PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and treatment in a step-down or intermediate care setting. The RN ensures patient safety, administers treatments, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and changing clinical conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Hawaii Nursing License at the start of the assignment.
- Possess 2-10 years of recent RN experience in acute care settings.
- Maintain BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, and wound management equipment.
- Exhibit strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility to float between units.
