Job Description:

Caring of patients pre-op, phase I and phase II recovery. PACU nurses care for patients after surgery and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and care for patients in Phase I. Candidates require critical care skills to assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track other indicators of stability or complications. Past experience in critical care and surgical nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients in pre-op and recovery phases.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology.
• Assess incision sites and monitor body temperature.
• Track patient stability or complications post-surgery.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as a critical care RN in a hospital setting may be accepted as a substitute for PACU nurse experience.
• Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• Active State of HI license required by start of assignment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential is recommended.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required.
