American Traveler is hiring a RN Flex Pool nurse for a Med/Surg and Step Down float position requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience.

• Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
• Primary floating units include Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and on rare occasions Cardiovascular
• Medical unit has 77 beds, Laulima has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:6 for days/evenings and 1:8 for nights on the Medical unit, 1:6 on Laulima, and 1:4 on Cardiovascular
• Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• 12-hour night shifts )
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted

• Provide nursing care while floating across Medical, Surgical, and occasionally Cardiovascular units
• Orientation time provided for each unit
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment
• Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health on Friday morning
• Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
