Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

This Medical Surgical Floor (MS) position is located in Hilo, Hawaii. It involves working various shift lengths on a rotating schedule, with a focus on providing high-quality nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment. The role requires adaptability to different units and procedures, supporting patient care needs across the facility.

• Shift: Rotating shifts, 12 hours each, scheduled for 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  A Hawaii license by the start of the assignment is required; candidates must have between 2 to 10 years of relevant experience. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Specifics:
  • Candidate must possess a valid Hawaii State nursing license and be able to arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health appointment.
  • Flu vaccination proof or approved religious/medical exemption must be provided prior to contract start.
  • Experience in medical-surgical nursing; familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records, pyxis medication system, wound vac procedures, and chest tubes is preferred.
  • Floating to Laulima Unit;
    Cardiovascular Unit may be required.
  • Dress code:
    Professional nursing attire.
  • Orientation will be provided for each unit.
• Schedule:
  
  Night shift, 36 hours weekly, with various shift lengths and days. Flexibility is required; no shift or hour guarantees.
