DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Nursery position requiring an active HI RN license and at least 3 years of L&D experience.
Details- Rotate across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
- L&D unit has 8 labor beds and Postpartum unit has 18 beds
- Variable day and night shifts with 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours weekly following the first week of orientation
- Scheduled 12-hour call required at least once per month
- No guarantee of hours or shift preference
- Uses GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP certification required
- STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications recommended
- Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with delivery, and deliver immediate newborn and postpartum care
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, typically requiring arrival by the Thursday before a Monday start date
