Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Contract | Days (0645–1915) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

• Float between various medical and surgical units including Medical, Surgical Acute (Laulima), and Cardiovascular units
• Provide direct patient care in accordance with unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical 1:6 days/eves, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4)
• Operate unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Adhere to unit orientation program with orientation time provided for each assigned unit
• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) per dress code policy
• Candidate must hold an active State of Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — State of Hawaii license required by start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (up to 10 years)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification

• Gain diverse clinical experience by floating across multiple units including medical, surgical acute, and cardiovascular settings
• Unit-specific orientation provided to support a smooth transition into each care environment
