Job TitleProgressive Care RN – Cardiac Stepdown
LocationHilo, HI | Acute Care
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shift | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary nursing care on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit consisting of step-down ICU and telemetry beds
- Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
- Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring
- Utilize Meditech for charting, Pyxis for medication management, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
- Float to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
- Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
- Registered Nurse (RN) – active and unrestricted license
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience strongly preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- PALS certification (current) preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
