Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 hours per week following orientation | No guaranteed hours

• Float between multiple medical and surgical units including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
• Deliver direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 1:8 on nights for medical units)
• Operate and document within the Meditech EMR system and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing
• Manage advanced clinical equipment including wound vacs and chest tubes
• Adhere to unit-specific orientation programs upon assignment to each new area
• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) per dress code requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment
• 2–10 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification

• Gain diverse clinical experience by floating across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units in a dynamic acute care environment
• Structured orientation provided for each unit to support a smooth transition and set you up for success
