Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift (18:45–07:15) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

• Float between various medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit, Surgical Acute Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit
• Provide direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 1:8 on nights for the Medical Unit)
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Adhere to unit-specific orientation programs upon assignment to each department
• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) in accordance with dress code policy
• Provide documented proof of immunity; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

• Active State of Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Documented proof of immunity required (no medical or religious exemptions accepted)

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification

• Gain diverse clinical experience by floating across multiple units including medical, surgical acute, and cardiovascular settings
• Unit-specific orientation is provided for each department, supporting a smooth transition into the role
