Job Overview

The Groundskeeperisresponsibleformaintainingtheestatelandscapesafety,cleanliness,andbeauty,specificallyinassignedareassuchassidewalks,driveways,parking lots,fountains,planters,nursery,orothergroundsfeatures.

• Comply with safety rules,policiesandproceduresincludinguseofpersonalprotectiveequipment.
• Stopsatriskbehaviorsofothersandself Communicatewithmanagementandco-workersadviseonplantcareand/or selection
  
  Provideinformationaboutlandscapingservicesand/orcostsComfortableleadingasmallteamthroughshorttermprojects
• Moworedgelawns,usingpowermowersoredger
• Pruneortrimtrees,shrubs,orhedgesusinggroundsmaintenanceequipment
• Felllargetrees
• Makeminorrepairstoitemssuchasfences,gates,roadways,pathways,orwalls
• Operateandperformregularmaintenance/minorrepairsongroundsmaintenanceequipmentsuchashedgetrimmers,chainsaws,electric clippers,sod cutters,line trimmers,mowers,tractors,UTVs,ATVs,trucks,orpruningsaws
• Maintainirrigationsystemandinstallirrigationmaterialsasnecessary
• Useirrigationmethodstoadjusttheamountofwaterconsumptionandtopreventwaste
• Waterandirrigatelawns,trees,orplantsusingportablesprinklersystems
• Plant seeds,bulbs,foliage,flowering plants,grass,ground covers,trees,orshrubbsandapplymulchforprotection,usinggardeningtools
• Apply fertilizer,compost,mulchandotheramendments
• Gather,remove,anddisposeofgreen-wasteand/ortrashmaterials
• Respondto“trouble calls”
• Assisthousecrewpreparingamenitiesasnecessary,includingbutnotlimitedtoboatpreparationand/ormaintenanceandsettingkayaks,paddleboards,andATVs

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  Highschooldiploma/GED–preferred
• Sixmonthsrelatedexperienceand/or training–preferred
• Certificates,Licenses,Registrations:
  
  Mayberequiredtohaveavaliddriver’slicense.
  
  Completedallsafetyandtasktrainingcertifications.

Thispositioncarriesnosupervisoryresponsibilities.

Thephysicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyanemployeetosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.
