Biochemist

Job Overview

Biochemist 1 position in a group that provides monoclonal antibodies, recombinant and native proteins to support reagent manufacturing for in‑vitro diagnostics. The candidate will perform various activities to support manufacturing, including chromatography-based purification, equipment operation, record‑keeping and compliance with GMP/GLP.

• Employ various chromatography techniques for purification of antibodies and other proteins according to established procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of chromatography equipment.
• Produce and maintain records, ensure on‑time completion of documents, and comply with GMP/GLP requirements.
• Communicate process and equipment problems and troubleshoot with guidance.
• Participate in meetings and work independently and in a team.
• Regularly monitor and clean lab equipment and lab spaces.

• Bachelor’s Degree in biology, chemistry or related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong background in biology or biochemistry and proven good laboratory skills.
• Industrial experience and knowledge of GMP/ISO is a plus.
• Good time‑management skills, well‑developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

$69,390 – $95,414 (range may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications).
