The Opportunity
The following description is for the HELE Senior Customer Service Associate role with Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. This position is located in one of our HELE convenience stores.

Position
HELE Senior Customer Service Associate

Salary Range: $18.65 - $22.65 Hourly
Shift differential: $3.00 (eligibility)
Location: 434 Kamehameha Ave, Hilo, HI 96720

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system; comply with cash handling procedures including other payment types for products sold
• Manage cash and other forms of tender
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and conduct shift audits
• Participate in safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job-related meetings/trainings as needed
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out; identify and report equipment problems
• Be a positive team-player, work cohesively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive work environment
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision; may work flexible hours and attend job-related meetings

• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
• Vision sufficient to read numbers on inventory, items purchased, and gas pumps (20/40 with corrective lenses acceptable)
• Ability to communicate information clearly
• Ability to follow safety procedures and respond to safety alarms
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and dexterity required for restocking, handling payments, operating POS, and maintaining facilities
• Frequent squatting and kneeling; ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials

To meet the basic qualifications for this role you will be at least 21 years of age or older and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications Include

• Valid driver’s license required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred
• Perform basic math accurately
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written), including proficient telephone communication skills
• Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time
• Ability to work with equipment, tools and materials as required
• Ability to perform essential duties and work under described conditions

We re part of a corporation with a presence in Texas, Hawaii, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, and Idaho. This position is in one of our HELE convenience stores and offers a path toward roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, Retail Area Manager, Operations, Marketing, or Logistics.

We own and operate 90+ retail locations in Hawaii under the HELE brand and 30+ locations in Washington and Idaho under the nomnom brand.
