Overview
As the Olu Kai Retail Associate, or Huaka’i which means to lead, your kuleana (responsibility) is to welcome customers into the store and deliver a remarkable brand experience. We are seeking responsible, outgoing, culturally minded team members to be the first point of contact for guests of the Olu Kai store. You are a service oriented people pleaser, with a passion for premium products as well as the ever-evolving retail industry.
PositionPart Time (19 or less hours per week)
Responsibilities- Welcome customers into the store and deliver a remarkable brand experience.
- Be the first point of contact for guests of the Olu Kai store.
- Uphold visual standards and store cleanliness.
- Support back of house duties including receiving, processing product, and restocking.
- Apply thorough understanding of POS best practices to ensure a seamless consumer experience.
- Participate in local events and giveback programs as a brand ambassador.
- The drive to hit and exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Ability to engage with new customers and build immediate and lasting rapport.
- A storytelling mindset, sharing details of our brand partnerships, product designs, inspirations, and purpose.
- Expertise on Olu Kai’s product lines, a champion for quality and authenticity, and the ability to communicate selections that meet customer needs.
- Ability to independently resolve customer issues while maintaining a spirit of Aloha in high-stress situations.
- Attention to detail and willingness to be a team player for back of house duties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Independent work ethic, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Positive attitude and high integrity.
- Must be able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred but not required.
- Must be available for a minimum of three shifts per week (4–8 hours each).
- Must be available for holidays and weekends as necessary.
- Must be 17 years or older. GED or high school diploma preferred and/or in progress.
