Overview

The Rental Sales Representative is the front line sales agent for vehicle rentals to existing lease and commercial accounts and prospective customers. The role requires cross‑functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Asset Management and strong customer communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound and outbound sales calls and execute the business unit’s marketing plan.
  • Maintain accurate data in the company’s marketing database.
  • Maximize rate opportunities and rental, lease, and used‑vehicle sales leads.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with the existing customer base.
  • Coordinate inventory levels with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to meet customer demand.
  • Achieve Ryder market share goals through successful execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all relevant local, state, federal, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide customer service that drives profitable revenue growth and maintains satisfaction for internal and external customers.
  • Reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes to preserve relationships.
  • Build constructive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Serve as a voluntary On‑Call Representative when required by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year or more sales experience required.
  • DOT Regulated:
    No.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay: $19.00 – $22.00.
  • Commission and/or bonus potential based on performance.
  • Full‑time benefits package: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax‑advantaged 401(k) plan.
  • Paid time off for military veterans and additional days for full‑time positions.
