Job Description

Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates various transit programs for the County; evaluates programs and recommends and implements changes in programs' policies and procedures; serves as program resource and liaison within the Mass Transit Agency; and performs other related duties as required. There is one (1) immediate permanent full-time vacancy with the Mass Transit Agency
- Transit Vehicle Maintenance Support Division in Hilo. The eligible list may be used for other permanent and temporary vacancies as they arise during the life of the list. Temporary appointment may lead to conversion to permanent appointment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Training and

Experience:

A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to: graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree, and four (4) years of responsible professional or analytical experience which required the formulation and implementation of procedures and/or policies of significant scope. Such experience shall have included or shall have been supplemented by work experience involving transportation planning or activities related to the development or implementation of transportation programs, and possession of a valid State of Hawai'i Driver License (Class
3) or any other valid comparable driver's license at time of filing.

Foreign transcripts must be accompanied by an official credential evaluation report to determine U.S. equivalency. Examination:
All applicants who meet the minimum qualification requirements will be assigned a score of 70 points. An education and experience evaluation will be conducted based on the applicant's training, education and experience as presented in the application.
