Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.;
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.;
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.;
Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points and/or departments.;
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift pass-down information, and communicate observed hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
