Job Description
Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) I – Primary function is to provide day‑to‑day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.
Performance & Responsibilities- Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follows and enforces customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Performs miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conducts inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Photographs and continuously monitors the construction of secure spaces and documents all steps to support final accreditation packets.
- 1+ years related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts toward 4 years of experience. Associate’s degree counts toward 2 years of experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward 5 years of experience.
- Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 regarding SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements.
- Must have a TS/SCI Clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
- Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (e.g., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection, OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
The likely salary range for this position is $91,375 – $123,625. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.
Work Hours & TravelScheduled weekly hours: 40.
Travel required:
10‑25%.
