Retail Loss Prevention Agent

Securitas is seeking a Retail Loss Prevention Agent in Hilo to protect people, property, and merchandise for retail clients. In this role, you will monitor sales floors and stock areas, observe customer and employee activity, identify theft or suspicious behavior, and safely deter or apprehend individuals in line with company policy and local laws. You will conduct incident reporting, support investigations, work closely with store leadership, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales floor, stockrooms, and entrances to deter theft and fraud.
• Observe customers and employees to identify suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Operate CCTV and other surveillance systems in compliance with procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances, ensuring safety first.
• Detain or intervene in suspected theft situations in accordance with law and company policy.
• Document incidents with clear, accurate written reports and evidence collection.
• Partner with store management and Securitas supervisors on investigations and case follow-up.
• Provide visible, professional security presence and excellent customer service.
• Follow all safety, security, and confidentiality protocols and training.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain required certifications.
