Hilo Retail Security Officer

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., a leader in the security industry, is seeking a dedicated Hilo Retail Security Officer to join our team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of property, personnel, and patrons at assigned retail locations in Hilo. The ideal candidate is vigilant, responsive, and committed to creating a safe shopping environment through excellent surveillance and customer service skills.

This position involves reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers, and documenting all security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect property to protect against criminal activity and damage.
• Report incidents and irregularities directly to supervisory staff and document all related information comprehensively.
• Advise and escort trespassers off property, employing non-violent methods to manage disputes gracefully.
• Perform access control at building entrances to ensure each individual's access is valid and maintain security integrity.
• Interact with patrons, staff, and emergency personnel in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
