Job FunctionServices vehicles and equipment maintained by the Automotive Division. Performs unskilled and semi-skilled work under direct or indirect supervision and assists personnel of higher classifications when directed.
Responsibilities- Remove and replace automotive components and accessories that require no technical adjustments.
- Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, grease jobs, etc., on all vehicles and equipment in the Automotive Division.
- Conduct visual maintenance inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting defective conditions to the foreman.
- Submit necessary information and reports.
- Drive vehicles and equipment.
- Use power‑driven and hand tools of the trade.
- Assist Service Station Attendant when necessary.
- Perform similar and incidental duties as required.
- Assume an emergency management role as assigned and perform specific assignments in an event of an emergency (excluding routine trouble calls/callouts).
- Automotive experience preferred.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors, including shades, hues, and tints.
- Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Must have or qualify for a State of Hawaii Commercial Driver’s License and meet the requirement for frequent required drivers as stated in the Hiring Standards for Required Company Drivers policy.
- Must be able to lift and carry automotive parts, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Construction & Skilled Trades Selection System (CAST) test.
- Must pass a Job Proficiency Test.
- Note:
Employees who have taken and passed the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) do not need to take the CAST.

DAY FOREMAN WK1 (FLW1) – 4 weeks at 6:30 am‑3:00 pm and 4 weeks at 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm
Location:
Honolulu – Oahu
Wage: $27.45 per hour
