Visitor Information Program Assistant II – Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airports at Keahole

Salary: $3,471 to $4,388 per month (SR-10) Level II. Shift work: rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Serve as a greeting and welcome point for travelers.
• Assist the traveling public by providing information to encourage travel to the major islands in the Hawaiian chain.
• Perform incidentally various clerical duties and other related duties as assigned.

• Basic
  
  Experience:
  
  Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and a high degree of verbal skill. This may also be met with possession of a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• General
  
  Experience:
  
  One (1) year of work experience demonstrating patience, tact, and an even temperament in dealing with others.
• Special Language Requirement:
  Ability to speak one of the following languages in addition to English:
  Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Hawaiian, Samoan, Spanish, French.
• Driver’s License:
  Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Substitutions Allowed:

• Federal Criminal History Records Check:
  Will require a pre‑employment fingerprint‑based criminal history check as a condition of hiring.
