• Social Service Aid II – $3,201 per month (SR-07, Step
  
  C)
• Social Service Aid III – $3,333 to $4,221 per month (SR-09, Step C to I)
• Social Service Assistant IV – $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)

Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant’s qualifications, and other relevant factors.

These positions are located in the Child Welfare Services Branch of the Department of Human Services and are responsible for providing supportive services to social service professionals through fieldwork and outreach activities. The Branch provides services for child protection, foster care, adoption, independent living skills, case management, foster home recruitment and licensing, and contracted support and treatment services to prevent and remedy abuse and neglect.

• Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
  Citizenship, nationals, permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Basic Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  Graduation from high school or equivalent; or equivalent experience that demonstrates ability to read, comprehend and apply written directions, strong verbal skills, and basic mathematical calculations.
• Specialized
  
  Experience:
  • 1 year for Level II positions;
  • 2 years for Level III positions;
  • 3 years for Level IV positions.
  Experience must involve providing supportive services to professional workers in a social service or health‑related agency and engaging with clients.
• Substitutions Allowed:
  Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
