Salary: $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR-22, Step D to I).

Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
- Department of Human Services (DHS)
- Adult Protective & Community Services (APCS) – Assess requests, investigate abuse/neglect, arrange services, and provide comprehensive services to severely or chronically ill and disabled adults.
- General Human Services (GHS) – Work with employment‑related services, child‑care licensing, economic assistance, statewide social service programs, medical assistance, and vocational rehabilitation for eligible individuals who are blind, deaf‑blind or visually impaired.
- Legal Authorization to Work: U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- BASIC EDUCATION
- Social Worker: Bachelor or master’s degree in social work from an accredited program, or doctoral degree in social work from an accredited institution.
- Human Services Professional: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year institution including a minimum of 12 semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology, or other behavioral sciences.
- Specialized Experience
- Progressively responsible professional work experience involving helping individuals/families identify problems, cope, and function within environments, as follows:
- Social Worker with Bachelor of Social Work: 2 years
- Social Worker with Master of Social Work: 1 year
- Social Worker with Ph.D. in Social Work: no Specialized Experience required
- Human Services Professional: 2½ years
- Progressively responsible professional work experience involving helping individuals/families identify problems, cope, and function within environments, as follows:
- Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
