Hawaii Petroleum is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Fleet Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, inspection and reliability of our petroleum transport fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in diesel, heavy-duty vehicle, fleet maintenance, or petroleum product delivery and provides hands-on training under the supervision of experienced technicians and operations leaders.
Our Fleet Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring our trucks, tank trailers, and fleet equipment remain safe, clean, compliant, and operational to service our customers throughout Hawaii island. This position also serves as a backup Lubricant Delivery Driver when business needs require.

What You Will Do- Perform routine preventative maintenance on petroleum trucks, tractors, tank trailers, and support equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, lubrication, tire inspections, and basic adjustments.
- Conduct inspections of brakes, lights, tires, suspension systems, pumps, hoses, valves, and other components for wear, leaks, damage, or safety concerns.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor repairs involving diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, hydraulics, fuel systems, and tanker-related equipment.
- Prepare company fleet vehicles for Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). preventative maintenance schedules, and company safety checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized and professional shop environment.
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, parts requests, and maintenance records accurately and timely.
- Communicate maintenance issues, repair needs, safety concerns, and equipment status updates promptly to supervisors, drivers, and senior technicians.
- Perform other related maintenance duties and assist with after-hours callouts for fleet related issues when needed.
- Safely operate CDL-required trucks and ensure the safe hauling of product in accordance with OSHA, DOT and Hazmat as well as Local, State and Federal requirements.
