Civil Project Manager

This position requires an experienced Civil Engineer with specific knowledge and consulting experience in municipal or private land development design projects to take a lead role designing the civil site and infrastructure projects. The individual will assist in developing, planning, coordinating, and performing the engineering work for multiple projects; perform assignments independently or with limited guidance from the Principals or senior engineer.

This position requires a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Candidates must be capable of self-sufficiency and working on most aspects of projects.

Duties will include:

• Communication with clients to identify the scope of engineering services required, and to manage change in project scope terms and conditions.
• Communication with Principal Engineer for project guidance and status.
• Performing accurate analysis and design necessary to fulfill the scope of engineering services.
• Providing cost estimates, managing sub-consultants with close control of scope, schedule, and budget to ensure the profitability of projects
• Providing final construction documents conforming to the scope of engineering services for the Principal Engineer's review and approval.
• Consulting and coordinating with regulatory officials regarding plan reviews.
• Conducting periodic construction site observations for the project and attending project meetings as required by clients.
• Routinely communicating with Principals, Design Group Leaders, Project Managers, CAD technicians, engineering technicians, surveyors, government agencies, contractors, subcontractors, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification
• 4+ years of civil engineering experience
• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD and Civil3D
