EOS Hospitality is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Maintenance Engineer to support our guest services team by conducting routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and collaborating closely with housekeeping, guest services, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Respond to guest calls and prioritize tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate professionally with guests to update them on repair status.
- Perform light maintenance projects such as furniture repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, and lighting work.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and guest services to maintain guest room, public, and exterior areas to company standards.
- Inspect and report on all areas during walkthroughs, updating leadership on task list items.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on property systems, including HVAC unit cleaning, filter changes, and checking pressure gauges and temperatures.
- Understand and enforce fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation protocols, and all safety-related requirements.
- Demonstrate a team‑focused attitude and promote collaboration among staff.
- Apply safe work practices consistently, including OSHA compliance and blood borne pathogen procedures.
- Remain standing for up to 8 hours.
- Walk the property and grounds frequently.
- Use stairs regularly as needed.
- Move quickly to address guest needs.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Operate hand tools for tasks such as hammering, painting, and cleaning.
- Bend, stretch, and reach frequently, including above head.
- Survey property areas clearly and safely.
- Climb, carry, and use ladders.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather for up to 8 hours.
- Communicate effectively in public or group settings.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Pass a satisfactory background check.
- Perform tasks and operate equipment safely.
- Work flexible hours as business needs require.
- 1+ year of general maintenance experience in a hotel or lodging environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Enthusiasm for property maintenance and hospitality service.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and respond promptly.
- Capacity to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain focus.
