The Cypress Club of Hilton Head is recruiting for the position of Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

Part Time Saturday and Sunday 7:00AM-7:00PM
Daily Responsibilities- Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
- Knowledge of HVAC.
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
- Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, and members.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to work well independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of different types of available paints, sealers and primers and their uses.
- Knowledge and ability to operate painting equipment such as power washers, scrapers, etc.
- Ability to use wire brushes, sanders, and rollers in an efficient manner.
- In depth knowledge of different types of paints and tools for interior and exterior projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Valid Driver License combined with an acceptable driving record.
Promote and protect member’s rights, assist members to make informed decisions, treat members with dignity and respect, protect members’ personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, support independent expression, choice and decision-making consistent with applicable law, regulation and member rights.
