Overview

Wexford, located on the south end of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, is a high-end private golf community comprised of 469 homeowners. The Club is seeking an entry-level Assistant Golf Professional to support the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf in the daily operation of a premier golf program. Wexford offers a year‑round golf program, with peak seasons in the spring and fall.

The course hosts approximately 22,000 rounds annually and features a full calendar of traditional member events, including a premier Member‑Guest tournament. The Club has also proudly hosted notable events such as the RBC Pro‑Am and the Governor’s Golf Tournament, further reflecting its reputation as a top‑tier private golf facility.

• Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of golf tournaments and special events, including tournament setup, scoring, and administration using Golf Genius software.
• Organize, run, and actively participate in weekly member games to promote engagement, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the game.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members and their guests by providing a high level of service and personalized engagement.
• Provide individual and group golf instruction to players of varying skill levels, including ladies’ and senior golf programs.
• Collaborate effectively with the golf operations team, course maintenance staff, and management to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional golf experience.
• Oversee daily golf shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining a professional retail environment.
• Support and promote ladies’ as well as men's leagues, events, and programming to encourage participation and member engagement.
• Ensure the golf course and practice facilities are presented in excellent condition through ongoing communication with maintenance staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and guests.
