Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children and young people and making a positive impact on their lives? Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Children & Young People’s Worker to join their new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers the opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18 in a nurturing environment, helping them develop confidence, independence, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote the service user's independence and wellbeing.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to support the children and young people.
  • Leading and supporting the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
  • Documenting information accurately and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Promoting a safe environment and monitoring safety protocols consistently.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care setting.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
