Are you an experienced Prep Technician looking to join a professional and busy workshop? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to prepare vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are retail-ready and meet all quality and safety requirements.

The Role

As a Prep Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle preparation work efficiently and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that values quality workmanship and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle preparation to a high standard.
  • Perform servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
  • Prepare vehicles for retail and customer handover.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines while maintaining quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (MOT Tester qualification desirable).
  • At least 4 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
Working Hours
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Salary & Benefits
  • £32,000 - £38,000 per annum
    , depending on experience.
  • 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
  • Stable, full-time permanent position.
