Supervisory Recreation Specialist; Attraction Sales) NF

The position is located at Leisure Travel Services, Fort Stewart, GA. The position is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.

This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

• Areas of responsibility include ticket sales for local area events and attractions; guest services provides information on rental cars, taxis, ground transportation, dinner reservations, and other general information about the hotel and the area.
• Provides travel information and assistance to persons giving information on attractions they plan on visiting, providing tickets to attractions, and preparing itineraries. Responsible for the procurement and accountability of tickets.
• Reviews trends in the field of recreation and leisure travel and makes recommendations for program adjustments. Makes presentations on activities and services available to various functions, meetings, retirements, and installation orientations.
• Performs a full range of supervisory duties, including recommending recruitment or reassignment actions, conducts performance appraisals and submits for approval by the manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR215-3, para 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following

• Progressively responsible experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Must have exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution and be able to supervise the work of others.
• A two (2) year degree (AA) with a major emphasis in hospitality management or closely related field may be substitute for some of the required experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

• Previous work experience in attraction sales and guest services.

Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications, & Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

Education

A two (2) year degree (AA) with a major emphasis in hospitality management or closely related field. Transcripts must be uploaded at the time of application.

Area of Consideration

• This job is open to candidates who are located in the local commuting area. (Within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA.) (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

Allowances and Differentials

• This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
