Performance Expert (R2PC) – Fort Stewart, Georgia
Performance Expert to strengthen the physical and psychological health, resilience and performance of Soldiers, Unit Leaders, Families and Defense personnel located at Army Installations.
Responsibilities- Master Resilience Trainers shall instruct individuals in holistic approaches to strength and conditioning and resilience to ensure durability.
- Certified Performance Experts conduct training intake/registration, including initial unit contact, observation, development of a training plan, preparations for the training event, research, tailoring course material, producing and distributing course material, facilitate the event, grade student course materials, and document grades in required databases.
- Assess training impact by distributing surveys after each training activity, provide survey results, summarize training activities in an After‑Action Review (AAR) for every session, deliver the AAR to leadership within five workdays of session completion, and provide a quarterly report with analysis of all data.
- Maintain records of trainings, observe instructors, and provide feedback on delivery of training.
- Complete initial instructor certifications to ensure effective delivery.
- Deliver instruction focused on the application of resilience and performance enhancement, linking training to unit missions and higher‑level guidance.
- Teach concepts and skills to build professional climates of mutual trust and cohesive teams, empower leaders with communication and counseling skills, develop critical thinking, and help personnel overcome challenges and bounce back from adversity.
- Focus on practical application of resilience training, resilience and performance enhancement skills, leadership training and related skills.
- Work as part of a team and provide participants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully complete required trainings, general education in human performance, and personalized mental‑skills techniques.
- Provide tailored educational programs and workshops to help personnel living and working in demanding environments achieve personal, professional, and family goals.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling Education, Coaching Education, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport and/or performance psychology.
- Teaching or coaching experience, preferably with military and DOD personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, functions, procedures, regulations and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army.
- Prior to performing PE tasks, PEs must be evaluated and certified to ensure effective delivery of lessons.
- Certifications or memberships in a professional association related to the field of study such as the Association for Applied Sports Psychology (AASP), Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), or American Board of Sport Psychology (ABSP), or the ability to obtain one within a year of hire.
