The City of Hinesville is accepting applications for an IT Director. This position is responsible for leading the technology functions of the City of Hinesville,managing risk and resources, establishing strategic direction, and communicating effectively with executive leadership, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department and for maintaining all software licenses,hardware, software, and network components within the City of Hinesville.
Majorduties include directing the daily activities of the IT Department toensure operations are secure, efficient, and productive; organizing and maintain the City of Hinesville’s computer systems and related records and information subsystems;
Ensuring that software license laws are adhered to; developing and following project plans for technology implementation; researching and making recommendations on computer hardware and software purchases; monitoring and maintaining software licenses to ensure timely renewals; and overseeing the security of theCity of Hinesville’s network.
Minimum qualifications include aBachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Technology,Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalenttechnical or professional experience related to the installation and maintenance of computer software or hardware.
Minimum of 7-10 yearsof progressive Information Technology experience. Minimum of three years of IT leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
CompTIA A+Certification and Network+ Certification required. Certified Government CIO orsimilar public-sector technology leadership credentials.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Computer Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity. Leadership, security, cloud and project-managementcredentials including Certified Information Security Manager, Project Management Professional, IT Service Management (ITSM//ITIL), CompTIA Security+,Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 or Cybersecurity Certifications.
The minimum starting salary for the position is $96,932.41 plus an excellent benefits package. The at5:00 p.m.
