You will serve as the technical expert assisting unit supply personnel with equipment turn-ins, inventory management, and property accountability through the GCSS-Army system. Your work will ensure that excess equipment is processed quickly, safely, and efficiently, supporting the Army's mission to be agile, lethal, and ready.

  • Material Handling:
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanized equipment to move items within the ERDS facility, maintaining safe and efficient workflow.
  • Inventory Management:
Record item locations, update inventory logs, and prepare reports to track equipment disposition and ensure accurate accountability.
  • Space Optimization:
Assist in arranging stock to optimize storage space, prevent damage, and maintain orderly and organized work areas.
  • Shipment Coordination:
Work with ERDS staff to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring items are routed to correct redistribution or disposal points.
  • Operational Support:
Support fast-paced operations to clear storage space and free up resources for active units, often under tight timelines.
  • Safety Compliance:
Adhere to Army Materiel Command and Sustainment Command safety, security, and property accountability standards.
Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully pass a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in inventory management and property accountability.
  • System Proficiency (MANDATORY):
Demonstrated hands-on experience with the GCSS-Army system is mandatory. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
Demonstrated knowledge of government regulations, manuals, and procedures pertaining to inventory management and property accountability.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Availability:
Must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
  • Training Compliance:
