Intelligence Lead
XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems support Small Unit Training (Squads through Company), Medium Unit Training (Battalion through Brigade), and Large Unit Training (Divisions and Corps) in environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) to Unified Land Operations (ULO).
Job DescriptionAs an Intelligence Lead, you will ensure training objectives are met by performing analysis associated with the Military Intelligence (MI) training development process. You must have knowledge of enemy/OPFOR unit missions, structures, intelligence systems, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and be able to prepare intelligence reports, build briefing materials for supported MI training audiences, and assist with Order of Battle products.
You will maintain working knowledge of various MI collection assets and infer consequences of various situations to predict future patterns and changes to current TTPs. Participation in special projects as required is also part of the role.
- Serve as the lead for the intelligence team.
- Provide war fighting functional area training for MI individuals, sections, and staffs supporting the training unit commander.
- Maintain routine coordination with the TRADOC G2 and Operational Environments (OE) Training Support Center (OE‑TSC) to ensure ORP produced for MI unit training remains relevant, current, and realistic.
- Support event OPORD package refinement as required by supported command J2/G2/S2.
- Integrate and validate all intelligence products required for collective training events.
- Deliver collective MI training events/exercises in accordance with the established MTC training program.
- Participate in event/exercise lifecycle management; planning, preparation, execution, recovery, and after‑action review.
- Perform limited manual and non‑manual work related to the MTC Director’s customers and military units as described in the Statement of Work.
- Work is predominantly intellectual and requires the employee to exercise discretion and judgment consistently.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (subject immaterial) or a minimum of six (6) years’ experience within the intelligence warfare function. - Military
Education:
Graduate of Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or service equivalent. - Required Experience:
Successfully served as a Brigade S2, Division or Corps G2 or ACE Chief. Minimum of seven (7) years military staff experience focused within the intelligence warfare function. If no degree, required 13 years of relevant experience. - Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph; can start with Top Secret but must be willing and able to upgrade clearance.
- Location:
Fort Stewart MTC. Normal work schedule is 07:30‑16:00, with possible night, swing, or weekend shifts depending on specific training event requirements. - Travel:
Occasional travel (less than 10%).
The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 – $130,651. Salary will be based on experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
