CDL Highway Maintenance Technician

DCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Technician who will work under close supervision to assist in highway and roadway maintenance activities.

• Work in adverse weather conditions.
• Lift moderately heavy objects, bend, climb, stand, or walk for extended periods; maintain accurate eye‑hand coordination.
• Adapt to changing work plans and schedules as workload or seasonal demand requires.
• Operate equipment used in highway maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
• Maintain a high standard of work ethic and commitment toward work.
• Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, clearing brush from roadsides, patching pavement and shoulders, assisting in storm cleanup, repairing fences, sign repair, litter/debris removal, and emergency response.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

• Class B CDL required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record.
• Demonstrated training and/or experience in roadway maintenance activities.
