DCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Technician who will work under close supervision to assist in highway and roadway maintenance activities.
Primary Responsibilities- Work in adverse weather conditions.
- Lift moderately heavy objects, bend, climb, stand, or walk for extended periods; maintain accurate eye‑hand coordination.
- Adapt to changing work plans and schedules as workload or seasonal demand requires.
- Operate equipment used in highway maintenance.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
- Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
- Maintain a high standard of work ethic and commitment toward work.
- Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, clearing brush from roadsides, patching pavement and shoulders, assisting in storm cleanup, repairing fences, sign repair, litter/debris removal, and emergency response.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- Class B CDL required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record.
- Demonstrated training and/or experience in roadway maintenance activities.
- Competitive compensation, pay rate: $21.00/hourly
