Position Summary

The Automotive Technician works as part of the automotive service team, learning to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer interactions to explain repair procedures and answer inquiries.

Pay Range

USD
19.25 – USD
28.93 per hour (flat‑rate pay model, performance‑based).

Responsibilities
  • Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes.
  • Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational/technical program in a related field.
  • A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
  • Demonstrated skills via third‑party certificates or assessment.
