Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support estimating efforts for commercial HVAC sheet metal projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and helping position the company for continued growth and success.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of HVAC systems and ductwork construction, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and labor analysis
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and ownership during preconstruction
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives
  • Maintain estimating databases, pricing history, and bid records
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs as needed
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and scope clarifications
  • Support business development and client relationship efforts
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in HVAC / sheet metal, or mechanical construction
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and ductwork fabrication/installation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent projects
  • Knowledge of labor productivity, materials pricing, and construction sequencing
  • Bachelor’s degree required, A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Autodesk products is a plus but not required
